History of the Breed: A large dog of Mastiff origin with an old history that dates back 4ooo years with the Nomadic Turkmen. This working
dog serves as a protector of the herd and family. This breed developed through natural selection and is not a man made breed. These dogs are
indigenous to the Central Asian Republics of the former USSR specifically: Turkmenistan, Tadijikistan, Kirgizstan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan,
Afghanistan, Iran and its surrounding regions.
