History of the Breed: The Bull Terrier is the gladiator of the canine race. There are two varieties of the
Bull Terrier breed, the white and the colored. It is believed that the breed was developed by
crossing a Bulldog with the now extinct white English Terrier. To increase the size, this dog was later crossed
with the Spanish Pointer. When bull baiting was outlawed in England in 1835 the "sport" of dog-fighting became popular
and the Bull Terrier was originally developed for this purpose. In 1917, the first modern Bull Terrier, Lord Gladiator, was
born. It was the first dog with a skull profile completely lacking a stop.
General Appearance: A powerful breed with a unique down-faced, egg-shaped head with dark eyes appearing narrow, sunken, and triangular.
This breed has no stop. Ears are small thin and erect and are placed close together. A very muscular neck with strong shoulders and a broad short and
deep chest. The tail is short and tapers to a fine point. The body is covered in a short flat and harsh coat that is either all white, black,
brindle, red, fawn or tri colored.

Friendly with children: Yes, but they will not put up with teasing, socialization it recommended at an early age.
Friendly with other dogs: Yes, with proper socialization. The Bull Terrier is first and foremost a Terrier with a competitive spirit
and may not always be tolerant of other animals.
