History of the Breed: A breed native to the very rugged countryside of southwestern England. Its exact origination is unknown however,
many breeders suspect that either the Scotch Bearded Collie or the Russian Owtchar were involved in the development of the breed. These dogs
were bred to herd and protect sheep from predators over rugged terrain and in harsh weather conditions both during the day as well as at night.
General Appearance: A strong and compact dog with a square, thickset, and muscular body. The dog is covered in a shaggy very long topcoat of grey, grizzle, or blue color.

Coat: A double coat, with the undercoat having a waterproof pile, the topcoat is about two feet long and covers the body and is
profuse, shaggy, and with a good hard texture.
